Who is Tibby?
I have been a member of the Ontario Humanist Society & the Grey -Bruce Humanists since 2011. In 2012 after screening and training, I was appointed as a Humanist Officiant by the Ontario Humanist Society and licensed by the Office of the Registrar General of the Province of Ontario to solemnize marriages.
I offer non-religious, legal, wedding ceremonies developed together with any couple. Other life ceremonies of special meaning and life journeys are also services I provide. These ceremonies will be unique to you and your family and friends.
The Guiding Principles of Humanism are intertwined with the Grandfather Teachings of Equality, truth, humility, love, honesty, bravery, wisdom and respect. These ethical philosophies guide my work as a Humanist Officiant and the development of meaningful ceremonies for you, whether its family ceremony traditions, humour or themed. I will work with you to make your ceremony perfect and personal for you.
I bring to you calm when you may be stressed planning your events, professionalism in guiding you through obtaining your marriage license and a lot of fun and humor throughout the process of developing your ceremony.
In addition my work as a Wedding and Ceremony Officiant, I am an Indigenous child welfare practitioner. I am involved with LGBTQ/Two Spirited supports and facilitating wellness activities.
I make my home on the beautiful shores of the Bruce Peninsula. My wonderful sons were born and raised here, before moving on their own adult journeys. My husband and I share our time together enjoying the shores, clear waters and beauty of Georgian Bay and Mother Earth.
